Free agency is less than a month away, and the Pittsburgh Steelers were speculated to land two players at key positions of need.

Fox Sports' Greg Auman, who recently compiled a list of the Top 100 available free agents and their potential fits, predicted the Steelers to sign a pair of underrated players who address needs on both sides of the ball: Carolina Panthers running back Rico Dowdle and Kansas City Chiefs safety Bryan Cook.

To kick off his Pittsburgh predictions, Auman pointed out that the Panthers will likely move forward with running back Chuba Hubbard, leaving Dowdle free to sign elsewhere. And where better to play than with the Steelers, where he could reunite with head coach Mike McCarthy?

For Cook, Auman pointed out that the Chiefs are completely strapped for cap space and will have to let some of their young talent depart Kansas City, which is perfect news for the Steelers, who are looking to make a splash at the safety position this offseason.

With safeties Chuck Clark and Kyle Dugger, as well as running back Kenneth Gainwell, set to become free agents in March, Dowdle and Cook would be fantastic additions to the roster as Pittsburgh looks to re-tool this offseason.
