After completely overhauling their attacking lineup, Roma are preparing to work on their defense in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Among the names being monitored by the Giallorossi management, according to Il Corriere dello Sport, is Marcos Senesi.
The Argentine defender was sought by the club first in 2019 and then in 2021, and his contract with Bournemouth expires in a few months.
This season, Senesi has made 25 appearances for the Cherries, registering four assists and receiving seven yellow cards.
The 1997-born player is attractive to Trigoria, given his characteristics, which would fit with what Gasperini likes: a solid defender with good marking skills, but also adept at setting up play. Roma, however, aren’t the only team interested: despite negotiations for Celik, Juventus also appear to be interested in signing the Argentine center-back.
