Arizona Cardinals OL Evan Brown 2026 offseason profile

· Yahoo Sports

The 2026 league year is coming next month. It officially begins on March 11, with the legal negotiating period beginning on March 9.

The Arizona Cardinals have many roster decisions to make before then.

Leading up to the new league year, we will profile every player on the roster, go over what they did last season, what their contract status is and what they face in 2026.

Next up is offensive lineman Evan Brown.

Evan Brown 2025 season

After a solid 2024, playing almost every snap at left guard, the Cardinals re-signed Brown for two years. His 2025 season was rough personally. He played in 11 games, starting all of them again at left guard, and he was not as good as he was the previous season.

He missed the rest of the year for personal reasons, as his newborn baby need heart surgery. The baby is healthy and at home, but the six games missed were so he could be there with his wife and child.

Evan Brown contract status

He is under contract for 2026. The Cardinals have a decision to make on him. He is due almost $4.2 million in salary and has a $500,000 roster bonus due on March 15. They would save $4.9 million in cap space by cutting him, leaving $1.5 million in dead money, but then they would not have their starting left guard.

So the Cardinals, with a new offensive staff (but with the same offensive line coach), must decide whether they want Brown back or to replace him. He will count $6.4 million against the cap this year.

Evan Brown offseason outlook

He is a cut candidate, but he can be a very solid starter for a very reasonable salary. The more likely scenario is that he remains the starting left guard coming into the offseason.
