There was never a whole lot of question about Jonathan Kuminga's talent.

The Golden State Warriors simply could never figure out how they wanted to incorporate him into what they do, and so instead, they traded him before the deadline to the Atlanta Hawks.

With the Hawks, Kuminga has taken flight.

His latest impressive performance was Sunday, when he needed just 10 field goal attempts to score 20 points.

This was Kuminga's third game with the Hawks after getting back up to speed and healthy.

In the first, he scored 27 points in just 24 minutes (9-12 FG, 3-4 3FG, 6-7 FT) while grabbed seven rebounds, dishing out four assists and snatching two steals.

In the second, Kuminga had 17 points, nine rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block.

The Hawks aren't going to be holding Kuminga back. This is his chance to redeem his career.

He once had so much promise that he skipped college to play for the G League Ignite program. Then the Warriors made him the No. 7 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.

Even now, Kuminga is just 23.

This might work out very nicely for the Hawks.
