The Jets made a significant trade last week, sending defensive end Jermaine Johnson to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for defensive tackle T’Vondre Sweat.
Johnson was a first round pick in 2022. His career got off to a good start. He was a solid rotational player as a rookie. He followed that by taking a step forward in year two, registering 7.5 sacks. He earned a Pro Bowl berth. Unfortunately his third season was cut short after he suffered an Achilles injury in Week 2. This past season, Johnson struggled leading to discussion whether the injury has altered the course of his career.
