NFL free agency is set to begin in less than a week. Multiple teams will lose their top talent despite their best efforts to work out contract negotiations.
The Indianapolis Colts are one of those teams. After trying to retain two of their top offensive contributors, they may lose one.

The long-time Colts foe recently released Stefon Diggs and has Pierce as his top replacement.
Pierce had been negotiating a new deal with the Colts, but they couldn’t hammer out an agreement. They then placed a tag on Daniel Jones–effectively ending their guarantee of keeping Pierce.

Pierce was expected to remain in Indianapolis. Instead, it looks like the Patriots will be primed to snatch him up.

The Patriots were active last free agency period, which included the signing of Milton Williams and Diggs. With the sour taste of a Super Bowl lingering, refueling their roster is a must.
Pierce will have a strong market. Will the Patriots offer him enough to make him ignore any other attempts by the Colts to retain him?
