Bills 2026 WR fantasy values after trading for D.J. Moore

· Yahoo Sports

Yesterday, the Bills gave up what some might view as sizable draft capital for D.J. Moore, unloading a second-round pick (and netting a fifth-rounder in return) for the league’s 13th most expensive wideout. How should fantasy managers size up Buffalo’s wideout corps ahead of the 2026 season?

Starting with Moore, there should be major questions about whether this former perennial top-25 fantasy WR can rebound after suffering per-game career lows last year. One might consider that Moore’s competition in Chicago was steeper than what he’s facing in Buffalo. But he was consistently outplayed by Rome Odunze or Luther Burden III (and sometimes by both). When Odunze was knocked out for the season in Week 13, Moore had two 20+ point performances and three disastrous outings (2.1 points or less).

Moore will turn 29 in April. He’s in his prime, or he’s post-prime. Buffalo throws less than Chicago does. Moore’s preseason ADP probably will be around WR24-28. That sounds about right as a starting point. His ceiling isn’t much better than WR20, and his floor is roughly WR32.

Moore’s arrival means Khalil Shakir will take a pretty big hit, at least by the fantasy market. Shakir was last year’s overall WR36 (one spot behind Moore). Shakir’s relatively low touchdown potential makes him more target-reliant than many “#1” WRs. Now he’s likely to play the #2 role, equating to fewer targets, catches, and yards. I’m projecting his ADP to be in the WR38-44 range. Unless Moore gets hurt, or unless Josh Allen returns to his former high-passing-volume ways, Shakir’s upside won’t be much better than WR42. He’s a likely fade.

As for Keon Coleman or any other Buffalo wideout, a healthy Moore and Shakir leaves almost no room for anyone else to crack the top 60. Allen is an alpha-WR-friendly quarterback. He generally feeds only one fantasy wideout per game. So even if Moore or Shakir gets hurt, the “next man up” fantasy philosophy won’t apply to this wideout corps.
