The Italy wing-back was the first Inter player to face the cameras after the final whistle, speaking to DAZN with the measured tone of a squad that knows one defeat does not unravel a season’s work.
Inter’s lead at the top of Serie A has been trimmed to seven points, but Dimarco was clear about the bigger picture.
“Before tonight you were at plus ten, what explanations need to be given? The squad is united, we are having a great season. We must stay calm because there are ten games left and we have everything in our own hands.”
Milan 1-0 Inter – Dimarco Plays Down Penalty Shouts
On a late penalty appeal for a handball by Ricci in the Milan area, Dimarco was candid but measured.
“I did not see it, I was on the other side of the pitch. Looking at the video, the arm is wide. Could a check have been made?”
He acknowledged Inter’s own shortcomings too, accepting a pointed question about the lack of crosses into Pio Esposito with characteristic honesty.
“Fair observation. Milan dropped deep after the goal, as is normal. We created too little to hurt them, that is the truth.”
On Inter’s recurring difficulty reacting to conceding, Dimarco was reflective.
“When we concede a goal we struggle to react. We react, but we are not ruthless enough.”
He also drew a parallel with the Bodo defeat earlier in the season, a moment that ultimately sparked Inter’s strongest run of form.
The hope, clearly, is that history repeats itself.
