Here is an excerpt of my Billy Schrauth medical report:

(Ages in parentheses are at start of 2026 season and are factored into the concern level. Injury info and ages based on available public information and are unverified - subject to update. Games played data courtesy of sports-reference.com.)

Billy Schrauth OG, (uncertain age, 22?) Notre Dame

Projected round 3. #6 OG per Mel Kiper.

Concern level 7/10

Schrauth has a significant history of injuries his last 2 seasons. Bilateral ankle surgeries are certainly a concern moving forward. An ankle cleanup suggests cartilage damage which can have residuals.

His final season ended with an MCL. If the MCL was mild-moderate with no surgery, then it’s not too much of a concern. But the lack of game action after the injury adds risk. If he had surgery, then the concern ramps up as you have increased worry of associated cartilage damage.

At the combine, Schrauth did drills which is somewhat reassuring. However, he did not do any athletic testing (40-yard dash, etc). The lack of testing 5 months post-injury is understandable since he may not have felt like he had adequate time to train, but it does raise the concern.
