Blue-chip defensive lineman has 'family bond' with FSU Seminoles

Khing Thibodeaux is one of the top defensive linemen in the 2027 recruiting class and a key target for the Florida State Seminoles. They have been recruiting him for over a year now, and they are one of several schools prioritizing him.

“Florida State, Colorado and Mississippi State have been making me feel like a priority,” he told Sam Spiegelman of Rivals.

He has several visits set with FSU coming up as they look to separate from the competetion, he has an unofficial visit for April 13 per Spiegelman and will return to Tallahassee on June 19 for an official visit. He also has an official visit with the Colorado Buffaloes.

Thibodeaux is ranked as the No. 270 overall player and No. 34 defensive lineman in the Rivals industry ranking. The Garland native is also the No. 36 player from Texas. He explained why FSU is standing out in his recruitment.

“Florida State has been consistently in touch with my family and me since I was a sophomore and they’re making me feel like it’s a family bond between us,” he said.

He had a productive junior season at Lakeview Centennial High School, starring on defense and also making plays on offense. He finished the year with 75 tackles, 11.0 sacks, 20.0 tackles for loss, 27 quarterback pressures, and four forced fumbles. He also caught six passes for 70 yards and two touchdowns.
