Luka Doncic and the Los Angeles Lakers had another magnificent win on Thursday, this time against the Miami Heat. It was yet another standout night for Doncic, as he scored 60 points to lead the Lakers to their eighth-straight win.

They continue to cement their place as the third seed in the Western Conference, which will be the highest they can get. Both the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs are realistically too far ahead of them.

Redick showers Doncic with praise after a 60-point performance

Doncic has faced plenty of challenges throughout the season, but he continues to be one of the best players on the court almost every night. This was quite apparent in the Lakers' Thursday against the Heat.

It was on the second night of a back-to-back, but he still had a superb performance. Not only did he score 60 points, but he also got seven rebounds and five steals to his name.

This was one of the best performances of any player in the 2025-26 season. The performance led to head coach JJ Redick to speak about his star player and had nothing but praise for the Slovenian guard.

"It was a superhero performance. I thought him really keeping us afloat early was really important. All of the groups in the second quarter did a nice job... He made big shots, made tough shots, made the right reads," Redick said about Doncic's fantastic night.

"When he gets it going like that, you just kind of let him go. His teammates saw that... The shot making was unreal tonight."

As the Lakers progress toward the Playoffs, they are ready to keep fighting. With Doncic playing at this level, it will be difficult to stop the Lakers from being a winning team that could surprise the Thunder and Spurs.
