The fight for the final spots on Cleveland’s roster appears to be over. CJ Kayfus and Angel Martinez have beaten out Spencer Fairchild, and Colin Holderman has beaten out Kolby Allard.
These developments all feel pretty obvious to me. The Guardians likely want Allard to be a starting pitcher in AAA since their SP depth beyond the initial 5 is “Logan Allen and a handful of CTC readers.”
