The best reactions to Michigan basketball beating Alabama in Swet 16
· Yahoo Sports
The first half for Michigan basketball was solid offensively, for the most part. And yet, the Wolverines went into the locker room at halftime trailing Alabama by two points. Despite outshooting the Crimson Tide, outrebounding them, not turning the ball over more than them, and having significantly more bench points. The only difference was one more made 3-pointer, and the fact that the Tide had more free throw opportunities, and didn't miss from the line.

But the second half was a different story.
The Wolverines were the aggressors offensively, draining 3 after 3, while not allowing Alabama to do much from beyond the arc. The maize and blue surged to a 16-point lead and then held on to beat the Tide, 90-77 -- sending Alabama home, while Michigan will stay in Chicago for the Elite Eight on Sunday.
Naturally, a lot of media types, internet personalities, former players, and more had things to say about the big win on Friday night. Here are our favorite reactions.

The last time a 1 seeded Michigan beat 4 seeded Alabama in tournament play, the Wolverines ended up winning a National Championship a week later.

Alabama actually had Michigan, but they just got gassed. Missing 2 starters to [2 lbs of marijuana] and [was a former pro hoops player] hurt them tonight. pic.twitter.com/M4GLVrTrCG

At 34-3, the Wolverines have set a new program record for single-season wins. One more would get them to the Final Four.

That was a Dusty May masterclass in the second half. Just a totally different Michigan team. That was beyond impressive. Totally took over. Wore Bama down. That was a great win.

Michigan stepped up its defense in the second half... better job fighting through screens, tighter on switches, and Bama came back down to earth from 3, and too many weapons offensively, led by the alpha, Yax BALLED OUT! Trey and Roddy huge off the bench. Elite Eight bound!

One and three happened. And they were so good with those they didn’t even need number two. Can’t play defense any better than that second half. https://t.co/fjpWzn5CJJ
