Commanders face stiff competition for Ohio State receiver Carnell Tate
· Yahoo Sports
So, needing a receiver, the Washington Commanders are interviewing Carnell Tate.
The Ohio State star receiver, we learned this week, is garnering a lot of attention from teams drafting early in the first round, leading to speculation that Tate will be drafted early. Tate has interviews scheduled with the Tennessee Titans (selecting fourth), the New York Giants (selecting fifth), the Commanders (selecting seventh), the New Orleans Saints (selecting eighth), and the Kansas City Chiefs (selecting ninth).

At first glance, one can't help but notice that the Browns were not included in the list seeking to interview Tate. This doesn't mean the Browns won't bring in Tate for an interview; they could certainly schedule an interview later. The Browns, choosing one spot ahead of the Commanders at No. 6, certainly need a receiver, so Commanders fans would be wise not to rule out the Browns in teams that might select Tate in the first round.
Carnell Tate just glides man… so smooth.

Tate was said to have performed well on his pro day running routes and catching the ball. Recently, Logan Paulsen (former Washington Redskins tight end) expressed that he really likes Tate. He likened him to current Cincinnati Bengals receiver Tee Higgins. Tate has been listed at 6-foot-3, 195 pounds, so if he were to be selected by the Commanders, he could add size and a larger target in the red zone that has certainly been lacking in Washington for some time.
