2026 NFL annual league meeting: Latest buzz from Phoenix | ESPN.com

The reasons Harbaugh believes there can be an immediate turnaround begin with having really good players, building a strong coaching staff and the league having tight margins. What he means by tight margins is that the Giants are not as far off as their record (7-27 over the past two years) might suggest. They lost seven games last season by one possession.

Schoen noted there has been an “upgrade” to the roster. He specifically pointed at the new offensive playmakers (tight end Isaiah Likely, wide receivers Darnell Mooney and Calvin Austin III), middle linebacker Tremaine Edmunds and the focus on special teams. In leadership’s eyes, the Giants are a team on the immediate rise.

Giant’s legend sees OBJ as an “asset” in 2026Sources: Beckham Jr. meets with Harbaugh, Giants at NFL meetings | ESPN.com

Odell Beckham Jr. came to the Arizona Biltmore during the NFL’s annual meetings and met with New York Giants coach John Harbaugh on Monday about potentially joining the team, sources told ESPN. Beckham also stated his case to team brass. Multiple sources told ESPN no deal is imminent.

But there is some degree of interest from the Giants, even though Beckham did not play this past season. The 33-year-old wide receiver has already stated his desire to return to the place where it all began. There is at least a possibility of Beckham having a workout with the team in the coming weeks. The Giants would likely need to see that before there being any real chance of a reunion.

Why the Giants are perfectly set up to bolster John Harbaugh’s résumé | New York Post

John Harbaugh did some wonderful things in 18 years with the Ravens.

Two achievements — one the ultimate team accomplishment, the other an individual honor — he experienced only one time each. His lone Super Bowl victory came after the 2012 season. He received his lone Coach of the Year award for his work during the 2019 season.

2026 NFL Draft: Ideal top two picks for every team | NFL.com

Round 1: No. 5 overall: Sonny Styles, LB, Ohio State; Round 2: No. 37 overall: Emmanuel Pregnon, OG, Oregon

If Jeremiyah Love is off the board, I think the Giants’ first pick comes down to Styles vs. Caleb Downs. I went with Styles because he’s the more impressive physical specimen and could be unleashed as a future star behind a good front. Pregnon fits the Giants’ need for more OL help and fits the physical tone John Harbaugh wants to set, as evidenced by the team’s free-agency moves to this point. Two picks, two possible immediate starters — not too shabby.

Isaiah Likely hints at his number with GiantsTom Rock: John Mara remains stable force for Giants, even in uneasy times with health, Steve Tisch | Newsday.com

It was no surprise, then, as the NFL’s annual meetings kicked off here in Arizona on Sunday, that Mara’s presence seemed to brighten the humdrum gatherings even more than the desert sun. Wherever he went, folks were obviously overjoyed just to see him.

The future of the league’s bedrock franchise suddenly is shaky. Mara remains in charge and still works regularly from his office in East Rutherford, but his health certainly opens questions regarding the future of his family’s stake in the team. His younger brother, Chris, took on a more active role in the John Harbaugh hiring, but any succession plans beyond those two are fuzzy. What might the next generation plan to do when they inherit their pigskin birthright?

For now, things remain relatively steady. Mara, as he has always done, provides that. He may need the assistance of his daughter on his arm to help him navigate the room these days, but it is Mara himself who braces up the Giants. It remains his greatest asset.

Roger Goodell: No evidence to justify action against Steve Tisch | Pro Football Talk

When asked by reporters whether there’s an update on the situation, and specifically whether the league has found cause to take action under the Personal Conduct Policy, Goodell responded, “There hasn’t been. As we said, we’re going to follow the facts. We have been doing that. We’ve been very focused on making sure we know everything that’s out there. We’ve engaged with others to make sure we have that information. As you know, the Tisch family also made some family changes. Steve, and John, and Laurie actually did some transactions as part of their estate planning and are no longer owners. But we have not found anything that’s a violation at this stage.”

Goodell also said Tisch and his siblings, Jonathan and Laurie, are “no longer owners,” since the league has approved their requested transfer of their remaining Giants stakes to their children’s trusts. So Tisch seems unlikely to face discipline under the NFL’s personal conduct policy.
