Great Falls’ Tommy McMillen wins UFC debut

Electric City native and Great Falls High graduate Tommy McMillen won his UFC debut on Saturday, April 4, in Las Vegas.

McMillen earned a first-round knockout over Manolo Zecchini of Italy at the Meta Apex in the first bout of the UFC Fight Night: Moicano vs. Duncan card, which also streamed live on Paramount-Plus. 

The three-time Montana state wrestling champion for Great Falls High landed 63 total strikes to Zecchini’s 24, connecting on 51 head strikes in 3:57 seconds.

McMillen, 28, moves to 10-0 in professional MMA and has finished opponents in nine fights. 

He was featured in season nine of Dana White’s Contender Series in September of 2025 to earn a UFC contract, defeating David Mgoyan by majority decision. 

McMillen trains at Red Hawk Academy in Phoenix, operated by another Great Falls native Tim Welch.
