Coming out of the first few weeks of free agency, the San Francisco 49ers have seemingly answered all of their biggest questions on the offensive side of the ball, other than Trent Williams' contract.

But the wide receiver room is still a bit of a question mark. Brandon Aiyuk is still on the roster, and the 49ers could still use another receiver opposite Mike Evans to keep Ricky Pearsall as a number three WR at best.

ESPN's Bill Barnwell has the solution for the 49ers with a trade idea that would have San Francisco moving up in the 2026 NFL Draft with the Philadelphia Eagles. This move would let the 49ers land Washington Huskies 6-foot-4 WR Denzel Boston.

49ers trade idea lands Washington WR after Eagles trade-up

"The 49ers could move up here for someone such as Washington receiver Denzel Boston, who could serve as a valuable YAC producer and eventual Mike Evans replacement on the outside in San Francisco," Barnwell writes.

Barnwell's trade idea would have the 49ers send the 27th pick for the 23rd pick at the cost of two picks, both in the fourth round, at 127th and 133rd overall.

The Eagles would be open to this deal, as they could get some extra draft capital while not moving too far down the board with a few of their top options likely not to come off the board after this move-down.

The 49ers, on the other hand, swing this aggressive trade-up to ensure that the Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills don't end up taking a wide receiver in front of the 49ers.

While San Francisco might not need a wide receiver as much as they did when the offseason began, thanks to the Evans and Christian Kirk signings, they could use a better long-term solution at the position.

Evans and Kirk are effectively one-year deals, Aiyuk is about to be moved on from, and Pearsall's contract extension isn't too far off in the future.

Boston, a 6-foot-4, 209-pound WR who had 881 yards and 11 touchdowns on 62 receptions for the Huskies last year, would be a nice pickup to take over long-term for the 49ers on the outside.

Kyle Shanahan needs more help on the offensive side of the ball, and Boston would be a great option that might not make it to their 27th pick, thanks to the Browns and Bills. This trade wouldn't cost too much, and jump two WR-needy teams to land Boston.
