Saints schedule one of their 30 pre-draft visits with Auburn guard

· Yahoo Sports

Weeks have gone by since the beginning of free agency, and with many of the major names taken off the board early, many eyes turn to the 2026 NFL Draft, which is now only a few weeks away. The New Orleans Saints are deep into their pre-draft cycle, meeting with a plethora of different prospects all around the country as they continue to get more research done in such a short span of time.

A name that they showed interest in early on was Auburn guard Jeremiah Wright, as they had breakfast with him around the time of his pro day. Now, they are following up on that meeting, hosting him for one of 30 pre-draft visits sometime later this month. Wright has logged more than 1,700 snaps at right guard and 321 reps at left guard after spending time on the defensive line earlier in his college career.

While getting the full picture of potential meetings and interest is difficult, the Saints meeting with a prospect twice in the span of a few weeks is certainly intriguing to say the least. Wright is a name that, as mentioned, is likely to pop up during late Day 2 or early Day 3 of the draft, depending on how his visits go, and with New Orleans desperately needing some guard help on the right side, he could be a name to watch for.

While No. 73 may be a bit rich for where he is expected to go, we have seen the Saints trade up plenty of times to get players they want, especially near the top of round four. Early Day 3 is typically a playground for Mickey Loomis and company to make moves, and 2026 will likely not be any exception to that rule.
