The Pittsburgh Steelers struggled at wide receiver last season and, despite multiple additions, failed to produce. Pittsburgh addressed wide receiver early in the offseason when they worked a trade for Michael Pittman Jr. to add a starter next to DK Metcalf.
However, this isn't the end. Even with the addition of Pittman, wide receiver remains one of the top needs in the 2026 NFL draft. This wide receiver class is deep and comes with a wide variety of players with unique skill sets, many of which would align well with the Pittsburgh offense.

Here's a wide receiver in every round for the Steelers to consider.
First round - Omar Cooper Jr. - Indiana
We've been on the Cooper bandwagon since the college football season. There could be five receivers off the board in the first round. Cooper has excellent speed and is dangerous after the catch.
Second round - Chris Bell - Louisville
Bell is an easy first-round talent who could slide due to his continued recovery from knee surgery. Teams are doing medical rechecks and hope he can be ready to go early in the 2026 season.
Third round - Elijah Surrat - Indiana
Surrat is a step behind teammate Cooper but still has a great package of skills. For the Steelers, he's similar to some of the other names below as an excellent No. 3 receiver who can line up inside and outside.
Fourth round - Deion Burks - Oklahoma
Underrated slot receiver with solid separation skills and RAC.
Fifth round - Eli Heidenreich - Navy
Hybrid player who can impact the offense as a receiver or running back.
Sixth round - Lewis Bond - Boston College
Shifty, rotational receiver who is very similar to former Steelers WR Calvin Austin III.
Seventh round - Caleb Douglas - Texas Tech
Huge target who can line up outside and create physical mismatches.
