Elite DT Brayden Parks sets visit date to Michigan football
· Yahoo Sports
Michigan football was named to one of its top targets' top groups this week, alongside many other top schools across the country. But that's just the start of it, as now the Wolverines will have their chance to impress.
Hailing from the same high school as maize and blue defensive tackle Trey Pierce, 2027 Chicago (Ill.) Brother Rice four-star defensive lineman Brayden Parks revealed that Michigan, Notre Dame, Miami, Tennessee, Ohio State, Georgia, Oregon, and Illinois comprise his top eight schools on Wednesday. And on Thursday, it was further revealed his schedule for visits, and he will make his way to Ann Arbor on April 2 -- three days after visiting Knoxville, and two days before going to Columbus.

Notre Dame has been thought of as the favorite, but as noted by Greg Smith's original post above, others are closing in. If the Wolverines under Kyle Whittingham have their scruples about them, they will pair him with Pierce on his visit, in order to give him a broader view of what it would look like to move from Brother Rice to Ann Arbor, as well as partaking in the defensive line room.
There have been some changes in the program, not limited to Whittingham. The recruiting staff is being revamped with general manager Sean Magee being replaced by Dave Peloquin, and director of recruiting Sam Popper accepting the assistant general manager position at San Diego State. And what's more, Lou Esposito, the two-year defensive line coach, has moved on to the Baltimore Ravens, with former Vanderbilt coach Larry Black taking over the position group just a few short weeks ago.
