Ohtani and Japan kicked off their WBC title defence this week against Chinese Taipei. The Japanese team is going for its fourth World Baseball Classic title shortly after Ohtani and the Los Angeles Dodgers won the MLB’s World Series.
However, despite Japan’s opening games taking place overseas, celebrities have shown up in abundance for the Dodgers superstar. During Friday’s game, Bad Bunny and Timothee Chalamet were just two of the Hollywood stars spotted.

Meanwhile, it’s hard to argue that Japan’s opener wasn’t worth flying around the world to watch. Shohei Ohtani blasted a grand slam in the top of the second inning to get the crowd amped up.
Shortly after, Ohtani recorded two more hits as the Japanese team jumped out to a 13-0 lead in the sixth inning. Japan boasts one of the most star-studded rosters at the WBC, alongside the U.S. and Dominican Republic.
The Japanese sensation has become arguably the biggest name in MLB and figures to be a major factor in the World Baseball Classic if his country makes another run at a title.
It’s clear that Chalamet is enjoying his time off set and when he’s not together with Kendall Jenner. The New York Knicks fan has been spotted at many sporting events recently, and now he’s added the WBC to that list.
