With the Los Angeles Dodgers continuing to spend heavily in recent years, the New York Yankees star recently offered his take on the situation that has many upset.
When speaking about the Dodgers’ roster, Judge made it clear that he doesn’t see anything wrong with how they’re operating.
“They’re trying to get the best product on the field and finding a way to maximize whatever they can to get the best players,” Judge said, per The Athletic’s Chris Kirschner.
The Dodgers are the most aggressive team in baseball history right now when it comes to doing what it takes to win. This was something similar to what the Yankees used to do back in the old days.
However, Judge’s comment shows an idea shared by many players around the league. Teams ultimately have one goal, and it’s to win. If a front office has the resources to get better, it’s hard to get mad at them for doing exactly that.
At the same time, the spending has created plenty of debate among fans and executives across Major League Baseball.
Judge, however, isn’t bothered by what they’ve done.
