The No. 6 Vols (25-11) upset No. 2 Iowa State (29-8), 76-62, at the United Center on March 27, earning their way to a third straight Elite Eight appearance.
Tennessee will play No. 1 Michigan (34-3) on March 29 (2:15 p.m. ET, CBS) for a trip to Indianapolis and a spot in the Final Four. It would be Tennessee's first Final Four appearance in program history.
Tennessee is 5-7 against Michigan overall. The Vols have lost their last four games against the Wolverines, including a 76-68 setback in the Round of 32 in the 2022 NCAA Tournament. Tennessee last beat Michigan on Dec. 29, 1984 in Knoxville, 81-77.
