Sal Stewart may not have hit the toughest pitch for a home run on Saturday. That likely belongs to the Cincinnati Reds' Ohio rival, Guardians rookie Chase DeLauter.

But yeah, Stewart also homered on Saturday, and it came on a pretty ridiculous pitch to hit the way he hit it, too.
He got a tailing fastball on the inside corner of the plate from Sonny Gray. Optically, it appeared to jam Stewart.
But he launched a fly ball to centerfield, and this wasn't a jam shot.
Stewart hit the ball 108.6 miles per hour, and it flew out of the ballpark. Talk about serious strength.

Stewart was known to have power. Even in his brief MLB cameo at the end of last season, he hit five home runs.
But he's started this season in a special way, hitting a couple doubles on Opening Day and now having a home run like this on the first weekend. It's becoming more and more clear why Terry Francona said so many great things about Stewart during the spring.
The kid has immensely special power and bat skills. He'll still likely have growing pains. But this is a guy the Reds look like they'll be able to build around. You don't hit home runs like that unless there's a special layer to your game.
